Farseer, a Croatian startup providing an AI-native enterprise planning platform, recently secured $7.2 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Aymo Ventures with participation from SQ Capital and Apertu Capital. The company has raised over $8 million in total to date.

The startup plans to use the new capital to expand its presence across Europe and the United States. Farseer currently serves enterprise clients in 15 countries and employs approximately 60 people. The company competes with established players such as SAP, IBM, Microsoft, and Anaplan.

During the Finance Weekend conference in Rovinj, executives discussed the impact of AI on finance departments. While some experts noted that AI can automate data collection and improve efficiency—such as identifying payment errors—others warned that over-reliance on technology could hinder the professional development of finance teams.

Hrvatski Telekom is currently deploying AI to optimize financial processes, reporting a 90 percent increase in efficiency for specific tasks like tracking payment discrepancies. Although the company noted that AI implementation currently increases costs during the experimental phase, it expects the technology to become revenue-generating in the future.

Farseer CEO Matija Nakic highlighted that the company's location in Croatia facilitated early access to enterprise clients due to a well-connected market. The startup intends to launch a free version of its platform for technical teams by the end of 2026.
