MTS analyzed business activity in the Murmansk region during the summer of 2026 using its MTS Link platform. While the overall number of online meetings decreased due to the vacation season, the use of AI tools during professional calls increased significantly.
Data shows that between June and August 2026, residents of the Murmansk region used AI assistants twice as often compared to the same period in 2025. These tools are primarily used to summarize discussions, track decisions, and assign tasks.
The most active users of the platform in the region were government agencies, as well as companies in the education, IT, and industrial sectors. Additionally, organizations in the financial and business services sectors increased their use of online meetings throughout the summer.
According to Ekaterina Ivonina, director of MTS in the Murmansk region, local businesses and public institutions are shifting toward smart meeting formats. AI analytics are now being used to maintain information consistency and facilitate the transfer of tasks between employees.
