Adobe has released a new Premiere application for Android, replacing the Premiere Rush app. The software allows users to import multiple video tracks, perform trimming and splitting, apply effects, and export content in up to 4K resolution. Additional features include audio extraction, background noise reduction, and voiceover support.

The interface is optimized for various form factors, including foldable phones and Googlebook laptops. On standard smartphones, the screen is split between the timeline and preview, while foldable devices offer an expanded layout. The application requires a minimum of 5GB of RAM to operate on Android devices.

The app is free to use without a subscription or Creative Cloud account. Users receive 250 monthly AI credits for generative tools, including models like Firefly, Google Veo, Google Omni, Luma Ray, and Kling. Paid plans are available for $8 per month or $70 per year, providing 1,200 monthly AI credits.

Performance testing on a Pixel device showed that a three-minute 4K60 video in high-quality mode takes approximately three minutes to export. While the app is designed for mobile use, Adobe notes that the full desktop version of Premiere remains available for more demanding professional editing tasks.
