Honda has registered four new trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on October 16. The filings include the names TDX, LDX, TYPE-TRAIL, and TYPE T, which are categorized under automobiles and structural parts. While these filings indicate an intent to protect the names, they do not confirm production plans for any specific vehicle models.

The company's current roadmap outlines the launch of three new SUVs starting in 2028. The first model, described as adventure-ready, is expected to debut in the first half of 2028. This vehicle will likely incorporate design elements similar to the existing Honda TrailSport line, which is currently featured on the Pilot and Passport models.

Acura also plans to release a redesigned fourth-generation RDX in 2028. This model will be the first in the brand's lineup to utilize Honda's two-motor hybrid-electric technology. Additionally, the company is developing a new hybrid V6 engine intended for larger D-segment vehicles, which may serve as a powertrain for a future flagship three-row SUV.

The third planned vehicle is an eight-passenger SUV that will be positioned above the current MDX, making it the largest model in the brand's history. While specific details remain limited, this flagship SUV is expected to arrive toward the end of the decade, following the initial 2028 product releases.
