French accounting firm Dougs has secured €50 million in funding from Expedition Growth Capital. The company, which has been profitable since its inception in 2015, plans to use the capital to accelerate the development of its proprietary AI and automation technology.
The platform currently serves over 50,000 business customers and generates more than €50 million in annual recurring revenue. Dougs maintains a growth rate of at least 50% annually and employs over 100 engineers to manage its in-house technology stack.
Dougs integrates AI into its accounting workflows, including bookkeeping and payroll. The company aims to transition toward agentic accounting services, where financial systems are generated by AI and verified by chartered accountants.
The firm targets reaching €100 million in annual recurring revenue and 100,000 customers. It intends to expand its platform across legal and financial management services while strengthening its presence in France through local partnerships.
