German energytech company 1KOMMA5° has secured a valuation of $1.35 billion following its latest financing round. The Hamburg-based firm intends to allocate over €100 million in 2027 to develop its Heartbeat AI platform, which automates electricity trading, billing, and metering processes.
CEO Philipp Schröder noted that the company is evaluating a potential expansion into the United States next year, citing significant investor interest. A future US initial public offering remains under consideration, with the decision contingent on the firm's financial performance throughout 2027. Previously, the company postponed US IPO plans in April 2025 due to market uncertainty.
The company is currently targeting revenue of approximately $750 million for the 2026 financial year. In October 2025, 1KOMMA5° challenged German government plans to subsidize 20 GW of gas-fired power plants by 2030, arguing that such measures distort competition. The firm currently aggregates over 600 MW of flexible energy capacity and aims to reach 20 GW by 2030.
