ZF Aftermarket has launched four new E-Mobility Repair Kits designed for hybrid and battery-electric vehicles. These sets include components for electric motors, inverters, transmission mechatronics, and drive unit reducers, allowing independent workshops to repair specific failed parts rather than replacing entire assemblies.
The Repair Kit EM targets second-generation hybrid modules in 8HP transmissions, while the Repair Kit IN addresses inverter failures in fourth-generation 8HP models. The Repair Kit RD provides bearings for drive unit reducers, and the Repair Kit ME offers a remanufactured mechatronics unit for 8HP transmissions.
The company maintains a portfolio of approximately 2,400 remanufactured transmission SKUs for cases where repair is not feasible. Beyond powertrain components, ZF Aftermarket covers about 92% of the top 20 electric vehicle models in Europe, including braking, steering, and suspension systems.
Looking ahead, ZF plans to expand its European catalog for Chinese vehicle brands to 200 references by the first quarter of 2027. By the end of 2027, the company aims to cover 10 popular Chinese EV models in Europe, targeting 30% of workshop demand for those vehicles.
