Zeekr, a premium brand under Geely Auto, announced plans to release an updated version of its 001 shooting brake in the first quarter of 2027. The upcoming model will maintain the existing shooting brake design and 900-volt architecture while introducing enhanced comfort features, expanded customization options, and a broader product lineup.
To stimulate sales of the current 001 model in October, Zeekr is offering a ¥10 000 insurance subsidy. Customers who place a deposit of ¥5 000 between October 1 and 31 can also choose from additional incentives, including financing packages, final payment discounts, or allowances for optional equipment like wheels and brake calipers.
The announcement follows a period of declining sales for the 001 model. In the first 8 months of 2026, deliveries of the 001 totaled 20 076 units, marking a 21.50% year-on-year decrease. The model accounted for 7.99% of the brand's total deliveries during this period, despite the overall brand performance showing significant growth.
In August 2026, Zeekr delivered 36 981 vehicles, a 109.81% year-on-year increase, setting a monthly record for the fifth consecutive month. Meanwhile, deliveries for the 001 model reached 1 667 units in August, down 56.74% compared to the previous year. The company is also preparing to launch the 2027 Zeekr 7X SUV in the fourth quarter of 2026.
