Zeekr conducted a durability test for the seat foam of its 2026 model year 009 MPV. The material features a three-layer sandwich structure, including high-resilience, high-density, and soft foam layers. According to the manufacturer, this design provides 1.5 times better vibration-damping performance compared to standard automotive seat foam.
During the demonstration, a piece of the foam was subjected to pressure from nine Zeekr passenger vehicles, including the Zeekr X, 007, 7 GT, 7X, 001, Mix, 8X, 9X, and the 009 model. The combined weight of these cars reached approximately 20 tons. Following this, a 20-ton Farizon Homtruck H heavy-duty truck also drove over the same foam sample.
Post-test analysis confirmed that the foam structure remained unchanged and retained its original vibration-damping properties. The Zeekr 009 seats are finished in Nappa leather and include features such as a 22-point massage system, ventilation, heating, and a power legrest. The second-row captain chairs support a zero-gravity mode and 180-degree rotation.
The Zeekr 009 measures 5217 by 2024 by 1812 mm with a wheelbase of 3205 mm. The vehicle is available in single-motor and dual-motor configurations, with battery capacities of 108 kWh and 115 kWh respectively. Prices for the minivan in the Chinese market range from ¥439 800 to ¥469 800, which is approximately $65 665 to $70 145.
Sales data indicates that 12 405 units of the Zeekr 009 were delivered between January and August 2026. This figure represents a 12.8 percent decline compared to the same period in the previous year.
