The advocacy group Pretty Good Policy for Zcash (PGPZ) has officially registered to lobby in Washington as of October 1. Executive director Divij Pandya is designated as the sole lobbyist for the organization, which aims to influence US policy regarding digital assets.

The group plans to focus its efforts on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act and two specific tax proposals related to digital assets. PGPZ was established in June 2026, evolving from the Pretty Good Policy for Crypto initiative originally launched by Electric Coin Co in 2022.

To support its operations, PGPZ received a grant of $750 000 from the Zcash Community Grants in August. This funding is intended to cover the organization's first year of work as it seeks to represent the interests of the privacy-oriented cryptocurrency ecosystem.
