Zapgo has launched its largest electric vehicle charging facility to date at the Sowerby Wood Business Park in Barrow-in-Furness, England. The new hub is designed to serve both local residents and the high volume of tourists traveling to the nearby Lake District National Park, which receives approximately 18 to 19 million visitors every year.

The site is equipped with five Alpitronic charging units, providing a total of 10 charging bays. Two of these bays are specifically designated as fully accessible. To ensure operational reliability, the company has established partnerships with local businesses to manage ongoing maintenance tasks at the location.

In addition to the charging infrastructure, the facility offers amenities for drivers, including restrooms, a coffee machine, and a vending machine. According to CEO Neil Mahapatra, the hub aims to address the lack of public charging infrastructure in the industrial port town of Barrow-in-Furness.
