Yuga Labs launched the Mudwater trading card collection on the Solana blockchain on October 17, 2026. The debut set, titled Swamp Origins, features 120 unique artworks based on Bored Ape imagery. Each card connects a physical collectible to a corresponding Solana NFT stored in a vault.
Holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) assets can claim packs through January 19, 2027. Eligibility is managed via 6,551 Totems, which are ERC-6551 token-bound accounts. BAYC holders are entitled to 10 packs each, while MAYC holders receive 2, with over 140,000 packs currently available.
The collection includes four rarity tiers: standard, foil, serialized, and cracked-ice. The latter includes 8 unique 1/1 serialized cards. Yuga Labs also plans to release 10,000 boxes, each containing 24 packs, and offers gameplay demos within the Otherside metaverse.
Trading occurs on OpenSea, where separate listings exist for Totems, packs, and cards. The project features a 2.5% fee on NFT trades that automatically purchases ApeCoin, which is then distributed to Mudwater NFT holders based on their holdings.
