The payment company YooMoney has migrated its automated banking system, ProgramBank.ABS, to the Linux operating system and the PostgreSQL database management system. The project was executed in collaboration with ProgramBank JSC.

To ensure operational continuity, the technical team implemented a parallel processing approach. A separate infrastructure contour was deployed to process the same real-time transaction data as the existing system, allowing for direct performance and data integrity comparisons.

The migration process involved multiple stages of modeling to verify data accuracy, external system interactions, and performance metrics. Discrepancies identified during these cycles were analyzed and resolved before proceeding to the next phase.

The final transition to the new platform took several hours. According to Andrey Ilchenko, Director of the Internal Systems Department at YooMoney, the switch was completed without interrupting services for customers or back-office staff.

This initiative is part of a broader infrastructure modernization strategy aimed at reducing reliance on foreign software. The project aligns with the financial sector's current focus on technological independence and import substitution.
