Yapily, a UK-based open banking infrastructure provider, reported a significant financial turnaround in 2025. The company saw its annual turnover rise to £16,7 million from £6,7 million in the previous year. Furthermore, the firm shifted from a loss of £16,2 million to a profit of £355 000, marking its first year of profitability.
CEO Stefano Vaccino attributed these results to operational efficiency and increased revenue from key clients, including Revolut, Intuit, Adyen, and Google. By the end of 2025, the company maintained a workforce of 102 employees. Yapily has not raised external capital since its $51 million Series B round in 2021, which was led by Sapphire Ventures with participation from Lakestar, HV Capital, and Latitude.
Despite ongoing consolidation in the open banking sector—evidenced by acquisitions such as Paypoint buying obconnect and TrueLayer acquiring in3 and Zimpler—Vaccino stated that Yapily intends to remain on the sidelines. The company is currently prioritizing organic and sustainable growth over M&A activity.
Looking ahead, the firm is preparing for regulatory and technical shifts, including the expansion of Commercial Variable Recurring Payments into e-commerce and the upcoming EU Financial Data Access framework. Vaccino noted that 2027 and 2028 will be pivotal years for the industry, and the company continues to invest in engineering talent to support its product development.
