Spy photos of a new executive sedan from BYD's ultra-luxury brand Yangwang have appeared on Weibo. The prototype, captured near a BYD flash charging station, features a boxy silhouette and roof-mounted LiDAR, with design elements reminiscent of the Yangwang U8 SUV.
According to automotive bloggers, the vehicle measures approximately 5.5 meters in length. Estimates suggest a price point exceeding ¥2 million, or approximately $296 440. This would place the model significantly above the current Yangwang U7, which starts at ¥658 000.
The vehicle is expected to utilize BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and support flash charging technology. While official details remain unconfirmed, the model is reportedly nearing production. The brand aims to incorporate distinctive characteristics and advanced technology in its lineup.
Yangwang continues to expand its luxury portfolio, following the August 5 launch of the U8L Dingcang Edition SUV priced from ¥1 458 000. In August, the brand sold 442 vehicles, bringing its cumulative sales for the first eight months of the year to 2 899 units.
