Yandex has restored the majority of functions for its AI-powered ecosystem, including the Alice AI chat, smart speakers, and TVs running on YaOS. Users can now access the Expert mode for complex tasks, text and image generation, file processing, and the updated Studio interface for photo editing.
Smart home management is fully operational, allowing users to create and execute scenarios, manage devices, and stream from AI cameras. On smart speakers and TVs, features such as morning shows, alarms, reminders, timers, weather forecasts, and general Q&A are back online. Media playback, search, and the app store are also functional on TVs and HDMI-connected speakers.
Despite the progress, some limitations persist. Calls on smart speakers remain unavailable, and multi-room music playback, fairy tales, and the baby monitor feature are currently unstable. Additionally, the system may struggle to identify the nearest speaker when multiple devices are present, and karaoke modes or third-party smart home device integrations may face ongoing issues.
