Yandex services, including Yandex Search, Maps, Taxi, Alice, and email, are gradually returning to operation following a major outage. The company stated that its engineering teams are prioritizing the restoration of platforms with the highest user traffic to ensure service continuity for the majority of the audience.
The disruption was triggered by a drone attack on a Yandex data center in Vladimir on the night of October 11, 2026, which resulted in the facility being completely shut down. This incident marks the third attack on the company's infrastructure within a single week, severely impacting its operational capacity across multiple regions.
Prior to the incident in Vladimir, Yandex faced similar disruptions at other locations. On October 8, a data center in Sasovo, Ryazan region, was forced to cease operations following a fire caused by a drone strike. Subsequently, on October 9, a facility in Kaluga sustained damage when several modules were disabled by a drone attack.
While the company continues to work on restoring full access to all platforms, it has not yet provided a specific timeline for when all services will be fully operational. Engineering teams remain focused on stabilizing the infrastructure and resuming normal service levels across all affected regions as quickly as possible.
