The Yandex data center in Vladimir has ceased operations following a drone attack that damaged its infrastructure. According to the official status page, the company has declared an emergency mode for its cloud platform, noting that the current resource configuration is unstable.
The incident has rendered the ru-central1-a and ru-central1-b availability zones inaccessible. Yandex has advised clients to activate their disaster recovery plans and utilize alternative platforms, as communication channels with technical support are currently experiencing instability.
Prior to the full shutdown, the platform reported power supply disruptions in one of its cloud zones at approximately 4:00 Moscow time. This event caused service outages across various Yandex products. The company is currently assessing the damage and evaluating timelines for potential restoration.
This event marks the third instance of a Yandex data center being targeted by drone strikes, as two other facilities have previously suffered damage from similar attacks.
