XRP Asia has officially launched to promote the adoption of the XRP Ledger across the Asian region. The organization is led by President Sabrina Tachdjian, who previously served as the VP of Fintech and Payments at the Hedera Foundation.

The organization will host a presentation titled 'Special Announcement: What’s Coming Next for the XRP Ecosystem in Asia' on October 3, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week. The session will feature Tachdjian and Tatsuya Kohrogi from Ripple.

Representatives from South Korean financial institutions, including Woori Bank and Kakao Bank, are scheduled to participate in the event. The discussion will focus on cross-border payments and tokenized deposits.

In Japan, the SBI Ripple Asia joint venture registered its token issuance platform under the Fund Settlement Act on March 26, 2026. Development of this platform was completed in early April 2026.

The XRP Ledger protocol is scheduled to receive Batch and Permission Delegation upgrades in early October 2026. Meanwhile, trading volumes for XRP on South Korean exchanges like Upbit have recently exceeded those on several major global platforms.
