XPENG is transitioning to a direct sales model in the UK by establishing a national sales company. This move replaces the previous distributor-led strategy that the company initiated when it entered the British market in November 2024.

The Chinese automaker reached an agreement with its former partner, International Motors (IML). Under the new arrangement, XPENG will manage strategic and commercial operations directly, while IML will continue to provide operational support services.

The company plans to use this new structure to increase investments in its retail network and customer experience. XPENG intends to expand its UK product lineup, confirming that the X9 electric MPV and the L03 model will be available in the country.

XPENG originally entered the UK market with the G6 eSUV and had planned to establish 20 dealerships through IML. The company is now scaling its presence by leveraging its global technology and investment capabilities alongside IML's existing local infrastructure.
