Xpeng has commenced production of the right-hand-drive G9L SUV at its Guangzhou facility. The first batch of these vehicles is destined for the Australian market, marking the start of the model's international rollout across 64 countries and regions.
The G9L is a 5-seat flagship SUV built on an 800-volt fast-charging platform. It is available in battery electric and extended-range electric versions, with the latter offering a combined CLTC range of 1,602 kilometers. The BEV variant reaches up to 755 kilometers on a single charge.
In August, Xpeng exported 8,125 vehicles, bringing the total for the first eight months of the year to 49,424 units. This figure represents a 99.94 percent increase compared to the same period last year and exceeds the total export volume recorded in 2025.
The company aims to surpass 60,000 monthly sales in the fourth quarter. This growth strategy includes the upcoming overseas launch of the Mona L03 SUV and the expansion of the G9L model, which competes with vehicles like the Li L7 and Aito M7 in China.
