The blogger known as Liji recently published a series of posts claiming that the Chinese restaurant chain Xibei is facing imminent closure within two to three months. According to the claims, founder Jia Guolong intends to assume most of the company's debts, relinquish his shares, and retain approximately 100 profitable locations to support 3,000 to 4,000 employees.
Xibei customer service officially denied these reports, stating that all stores across the country are operating normally and urging the public to view online rumors rationally. The company has not provided further details regarding its financial status or future operational plans.
Liji also accused entrepreneur Luo Yonghao of contributing to the company's downfall for personal gain, urging him to stop targeting Jia Guolong. Liji stated that he has no intention of engaging in a direct conflict with Luo, though he warned that any attempt to censor his social media accounts would lead to further public disclosures.
Public opinion remains divided regarding the reasons for Xibei's difficulties. Some observers suggest that the company's challenges are driven by high pricing, the current economic downturn, and internal management decisions, rather than external criticism. Luo Yonghao and Jia Guolong have not issued formal responses to these allegations.
