Xiaomi has initiated the rollout of its September 2026 security update for a range of smartphones and tablets running HyperOS 4. The distribution is being conducted in phases, meaning the patch may not appear on all devices simultaneously. Users can check for the update manually through the system settings menu.
The update includes 180 security fixes in total. Google addressed 95 vulnerabilities within Android Framework and system components, including a critical flaw that allowed for remote code execution without user interaction. The remaining 85 patches target hardware-level issues, kernel vulnerabilities, and drivers for vendors including Qualcomm, Arm, MediaTek, Unisoc, and Imagination Technologies.
The global and European versions of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra are among the first to receive the patch. EEA versions of the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are also included. In the Chinese market, the update is available for the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5, Redmi K80, K80 Pro, K100 Pro Max, as well as the POCO F7 Pro, F7 Ultra, and F9 Ultra.
