Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Titanium Thermos Cup Tea-Water Separation Edition, a 500 ml container designed for brewing loose-leaf tea on the go. The device features a unique gravity-based mechanism that allows users to control the infusion process by flipping the thermos, letting hot water pass through a titanium filter into a transparent Tritan chamber.
The main components, including the body, filter, and inner lid, are constructed from titanium with a purity exceeding 99%. This material is chosen for its lightweight properties, corrosion resistance, and lack of metallic aftertaste. The thermos is available in Deep Space Gray and Moonlight Silver color options.
Users can convert the device into a standard vacuum flask by removing the upper chamber and attaching the lid directly to the titanium body. The thermos maintains a temperature of approximately 45 degrees Celsius for up to six hours. The filter and silicone seals are detachable for cleaning, though the manufacturer advises against exposing the Tritan chamber to boiling water.
The product is priced at ¥199. A crowdfunding campaign for the new model is scheduled to begin on October 14 on the Xiaomi Youpin platform.
