Xiaomi has opened pre-orders for its new Mijia washing and drying machine, priced at ¥5000. The device features a unique design with three independent drums, allowing users to run different wash cycles simultaneously thanks to three separate water inlets.
The main drum handles up to 11 kg of laundry, while two smaller 1.5 kg drums are dedicated to delicate items like children's clothing and underwear. Despite the triple-drum configuration, the unit fits into standard spaces typically occupied by 10 kg machines.
The system utilizes the MiMo AI model to provide personalized washing recommendations based on voice commands regarding fabric type, color, or stain characteristics. Users can control the machine via the Mi Home app, Xiao Ai, or Miclaw voice assistants.
The machine is built with a solid metal frame and an enhanced damping system to ensure stability during simultaneous operation. It offers a 99.99% bacteria removal rate and uses continuous fresh water flow during rinsing to minimize detergent residue.
