Xiaomi has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the Mijia Titanium Insulated Mug Tea and Water Separation Edition on the Youpin platform. The device is priced at ¥199, which is approximately $28. The campaign is scheduled to conclude on October 21.
The mug features a gravity-based system for separating tea leaves from water. Users can control the strength of the tea by flipping the mug to allow water into the brewing chamber and returning it to an upright position to stop the process. The tea filter is removable, allowing the device to function as a standard water bottle.
The mug has a capacity of 500 ml. The body, filter, and inner surface of the lid are made of pure titanium, and the product is BPA-free. The design allows for full disassembly for cleaning. The manufacturer advises against boiling or prolonged immersion of the transparent brewing chamber in hot water to prevent deformation.
