Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Thermostatic Shower S1, a new shower system finished in gunmetal gray. The product is currently available on the Youpin platform at a price of ¥1 200, which is approximately $180.
The system maintains water temperatures between ambient levels and 49 degrees Celsius, with a default setting of 38 degrees Celsius. A child-lock button prevents the accidental activation of high-temperature water, requiring manual input to adjust settings above the default.
An integrated LED display shows real-time water temperature, powered by four AA batteries included in the package. According to the manufacturer, the battery life is approximately 270 days. The device features an IPX5 water resistance rating.
The construction includes a tempered glass panel, a body made of grade 59 antibacterial brass, and a 371 mm shelf designed to prevent burns. Users control the water flow via piano-style buttons, selecting between the overhead shower, handheld shower, or both simultaneously.
The package includes a 305 mm overhead shower head and a 130 mm handheld unit. The handheld shower features an adjustable mount for height and angle customization.
