Xiaomi has officially announced a new addition to the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, hinting at the return of a transparent back design. The company shared a teaser image on Weibo, noting that such a design has not appeared in their lineup for six years.
The last device from the manufacturer to feature a transparent body was the Xiaomi 10 Ultra, which launched in August 2020. Historically, Xiaomi has released three models under the Transparent Explorer Edition branding.
During the 2026 Snapdragon Summit, Zeng Xuezhong, Senior Vice President of Xiaomi Group and President of the International Department, confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will be the first to feature the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Elite and Snapdragon 8 Elite processors.
