At the autumn product launch event held on September 23, Xiaomi announced new connectivity features for its 18 Pro smartphone series. The devices now support integration with Apple Watch, allowing users to receive phone calls and notifications directly on their handsets, as well as synchronize health and fitness data.
The 18 Pro series continues to support existing cross-platform features such as file sharing with iPhones, cross-device unlocking, and cloud photo synchronization. These capabilities are part of the broader Xiaomi HyperConnect ecosystem, which was introduced during the 2024 launch of the Xiaomi 15 series and HyperOS 2.
With the release of HyperOS 3 and the update to the Xiaomi Internet Services app to version 2.1.0, the company expanded its Apple ecosystem support. New features include iPhone notification syncing on Xiaomi phones and enhanced desktop sharing modes for iPad, allowing for windowed application management.
HyperOS 3 also enables multi-window support on Mac devices with adjustable sizes and full-screen functionality. Users can unlock their phones via the Mac Touch ID feature without needing to physically handle the device. Additionally, the iPad desktop sharing mode now supports Face ID and integrates into the iPad multitasking system.
