The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is the first smartphone to feature the 2nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, which reaches a clock speed of 5 GHz. The device includes a new ring-shaped vapor chamber cooling system designed to maintain peak frame rates in demanding games for up to one hour.
The smartphone is equipped with an 8500 mAh silicon-carbon Jinshajiang battery and features a chassis with IP66, IP68, and IP69 protection ratings. It includes three speakers, an enlarged vibration motor, and a UWB module for precise device positioning.
The camera system, developed with Leica, features two 200-megapixel sensors: a 1/1.28-inch main sensor and a 1/1.56-inch periscope sensor supporting 12 cm tele-macro focus. A third 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor completes the setup, supported by AI-driven composition and cloud-based image processing.
The display uses SuperPixel 2.0 technology with a 0.99 mm bezel, 4000 nits peak brightness, and a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. It incorporates hardware-level anti-peeping technology that masks notifications and multitasking menus at the pixel level.
The device runs on HyperOS 4 with the Super Xiao Ai 2.0 assistant based on the MiMo language model. A secondary screen on the rear supports over 100 applications, widgets, and AI-generated wallpapers.
Pricing in China starts at $1045 for the 12/256 GB model. Other configurations include 12/512 GB for $1195, 16/512 GB for $1345, and the top-tier 16 GB/1 TB version for $1495.
