The Xiaomi 18 Fold smartphone reached a sales volume of 80,000 units within the first seven days of its market release. According to data from RDObservation, this result marks the fastest sales start for any foldable device in the company's history. On the first day of availability alone, the manufacturer sold approximately 36,000 units.

The device was officially unveiled on September 7, and retail sales commenced on September 10. Shortly after the launch, Xiaomi reported that initial stock levels were exhausted. Currently, the model ranks as the second most popular foldable smartphone in its category this year, trailing only behind Huawei's offerings.

The hardware configuration of the 18 Fold includes a 6,000 mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The camera system, developed in partnership with Leica, features a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope lens with 3.5x zoom, and an ultra-wide module. The device also offers IP58 and IP59 protection ratings.

In comparison, Huawei previously reported that its Pura X Max model achieved 1.2 million units sold over a four-month period. The Xiaomi 18 Fold also incorporates advanced features such as UWB technology and dual speakers to compete in the high-end foldable segment.
