Xiaomi has released the official repair pricing for its new foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, which launched in China earlier this month. The device itself starts at ¥10 999, which is approximately $1639.

The most expensive components to replace are the displays and the motherboard. Replacing the internal foldable screen costs ¥3600 ($536), while the external display is priced at ¥750 ($112).

The motherboard for the top-tier configuration, featuring 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, is particularly costly. Given the device price of ¥14 999 ($2238), the motherboard alone accounts for nearly 40 percent of the total smartphone cost.

Repair costs for the Ceramic Special Edition vary, with the silicon nitride and ceramic back panel priced at ¥1045 ($156), compared to ¥250 ($37) for the standard model's back cover.

Other repair parts are significantly more affordable. Replacing the 6000 mAh battery costs ¥259 ($39). Camera module replacements range from ¥8 to ¥30 depending on the specific lens.
