Xgimi is launching its Aura 3 series of ultra-short-throw projectors in the US, featuring the Aura 3 Max and Aura 3 Pro models. Both devices utilize an RGB triple-laser light source and a 0.47-inch DMD chip to deliver 4K UHD resolution. The Max version offers a brightness of 5700 ISO lumens and a contrast ratio of 8000:1, while the Pro model provides 4100 ISO lumens and 7000:1 contrast.
The projectors support 4K at 120 Hz, including features like VRR, ALLM, and AMD FreeSync Premium for gaming. With a throw ratio of 0.163:1, a 120-inch image can be projected from a distance of approximately 20 cm. The devices cover 110% of the BT.2020 color space, support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IMAX Enhanced, and include an 80-watt Harman Kardon sound system.
The US market entry is scheduled for October 20 via Kickstarter. The Aura 3 Max will have a retail price of $5000, with an early bird price of $2200 available for those who place a refundable deposit of $50. The Aura 3 Pro is priced at $4000, with an early bird offer of $2000. Deliveries are expected to begin in December.
