The Xaman self-custodial wallet, developed by XRPL Labs, has experienced significant growth, reaching approximately 735,000 active users. This figure represents a 45.8% increase compared to the previous period, with over 600,000 active users recorded in 2024.

The surge in account numbers has created infrastructure challenges for the XRP Ledger. Some nodes are struggling to efficiently manage the volume of accounts, as each new user requires a base reserve of 1 XRP on the ledger to maintain an account.

Developers are working on a fix to address these capacity constraints and ensure the network infrastructure supports the wallet's user base. This response appears to be a targeted effort, potentially operating outside the standard protocol amendment process.

While the network is currently processing the BatchV1_1 amendment, which is expected to activate by late September 2026, this update is unrelated to the node capacity issues caused by Xaman's growth.
