X has filed a lawsuit in the United Kingdom High Court against Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa. The company alleges that the defendants operated a network of six accounts to manipulate engagement metrics and illicitly obtain payments from the platform's Creator Revenue Sharing program.
The scheme involved cross-posting identical Bitcoin-related content and using coordinated interactions to meet the program's requirements. X claims the defendants used multiple bank accounts and mismatched Stripe profiles to conceal their activities. The program operated from July 2023 until September 7, 2026.
According to the complaint, the defendants allegedly attempted to expand their network by recruiting other high-follower accounts. X suspended nine accounts linked to the operation on August 18. The company cited its Authenticity Policy, which prohibits the use of inauthentic accounts to manipulate platform services.
X is seeking the recovery of $278,000 in payouts, along with damages, interest, and legal fees. Additionally, the company claims at least £75,000 in investigation costs. The lawsuit, filed on September 17 under case number BL-2026-001161, alleges deceit, unjust enrichment, and unlawful means conspiracy.
