The interoperability protocol Wormhole has reached a cumulative cross-chain volume exceeding $70 billion. The platform has processed over one billion messages across more than 40 blockchain networks, including both EVM-compatible and non-EVM chains.

In 2025, the protocol recorded $17.6 billion in volume, with the Mayan protocol contributing over $16 billion of that total through cross-chain swaps. The infrastructure is secured by the Guardian network, which utilizes 19 validators and requires a 13-of-19 quorum for transaction validation.

Wormhole’s Native Token Transfers standard has been used to launch over 100 tokens with a combined market capitalization surpassing $170 billion. This standard enables the creation of canonical multichain tokens, preventing liquidity fragmentation.

Major financial institutions, including BlackRock, Apollo Global, VanEck, and Ripple, utilize the protocol for tokenized assets and stablecoin initiatives. Wormhole has also announced upcoming integrations with Monad, Fogo, and plans to support Cardano.
