World XYZ, a decentralized prediction market built on Solana, experienced a temporary site outage on September 9, 2026. The platform went offline shortly after launch due to an influx of over one million users from its waitlist, which overwhelmed the standalone website.

The development team confirmed that the outage was caused by traffic overload rather than security issues, and all user funds remained safe. The platform operates as a non-custodial service, allowing users to retain control of their assets until they participate in a market.

World XYZ initially launched on July 1, 2026, within the Phantom wallet ecosystem. Over the following two months, the platform facilitated more than 150,000 markets, covering events such as Bitcoin price movements and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The platform utilizes Chainlink Data Streams and Runtime Environment for automated market resolution. Settlements are conducted using CASH, the native stablecoin of the Phantom wallet. While the team previously explored a migration to Robinhood Chain, they remain committed to the Solana network.
