World Space Week 2026 begins on October 4 across 100 nations, focusing on the theme of the Rocket Revolution. The event highlights how advancements in launch technology and reduced costs have expanded the global space economy and enabled new applications for space science.

The World Space Week Association reports that the 2025 edition included 50 000 events across 102 countries. The annual celebration, which runs from October 4 to 10, is organized by the non-profit Association, which serves as a permanent observer on the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.

Partnerships for 2026 include an exhibition by ESA and The Pokémon Company, as well as a series premiere from BBC StoryWorks. Additionally, the NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will host an expo, while students globally will participate in model rocket launches supported by United Launch Alliance and Estes.

John Elbon, former ULA Interim CEO, serves as the Honorary Chair for the 2026 event. The organization has already announced that Tory Bruno, President of Blue Origin National Security, will lead the 2027 edition, which will focus on the theme To the Moon.

The Association is supported by corporate sponsors including Blue Origin, Airbus, Firefly Aerospace, and BAE Systems. Founded in 1982, the organization coordinates these synchronized activities to promote STEM education and public engagement with space technology.
