World Liberty Financial has initiated a governance vote regarding a new rewards program for WLFI token holders. If approved, the initiative is scheduled to launch on October 1. Participants must lock their tokens in a non-custodial protocol for at least 180 days and personally vote on at least one ecosystem proposal every 90 days to qualify for payouts.

The rewards will be sourced from ecosystem revenues rather than a fixed emission schedule, with calculations updated every two weeks. Unclaimed rewards will be redistributed among active participants who meet the voting requirements. The proposal also introduces a 5% cap on the voting power of any single participant to limit the influence of large holders.

This new structure replaces a previous governance incentive framework approved on March 12. The protocol has committed to conducting at least one governance vote per calendar quarter. Delegated votes will not count toward the participation requirement, and locking tokens will prevent holders from selling them during the 180-day period.

Currently, the WLFI token trades between $0.056 and $0.06, with a market capitalization of approximately $1.8 billion. The total supply of the token is 100 billion, with a circulating supply estimated between 24 billion and 32 billion. These figures reflect a decline from the peak values observed in 2025.
