The disruption extended to other digital services, with reports of access issues for ivi, Russian Railways, and YouTube. Additionally, customers of telecommunications providers MTS, Rostelecom, and T2 experienced service interruptions.
The incident coincided with a fire at a Yandex data center in Sasovo, Ryazan Oblast, which occurred on the morning of October 8. Yandex confirmed that operations at the facility were temporarily suspended due to infrastructure damage, though no injuries were reported.
Other platforms, including the real estate service CIAN, reported technical difficulties linked to an incident at an infrastructure partner's facility. The Astral group also warned of potential disruptions to electronic reporting and document management systems due to the data center fire.
