Tencent's WeCom has released version 5.0.12, which integrates the WorkBuddy AI assistant directly into the platform. This update allows users to interact with the assistant without switching between multiple applications.

The assistant processes tasks by accessing documents, meeting records, and messages within the user's authorized scope. It can interact with the platform's workspace to execute requests and return results directly to the chat interface.

WorkBuddy utilizes existing company data, including project history and customer information, as its primary knowledge base. This eliminates the need for manual data migration or repetitive training of the AI model.

Administrators retain full control over the deployment via the backend. They can manage user access, allocate quotas, and monitor computing power consumption to ensure efficient resource utilization across the organization.

For advanced functionality, users have the option to log in to the WorkBuddy enterprise client using their existing WeCom credentials.
