WeChat Pay's new SDK allows users to make payments via smart glasses. The toolset same as the standard scan-to-pay feature, meaning users do not need to create new accounts or learn new processes. To begin, users must activate the service through the manufacturer's app and verify their payment password via a WeChat mini-program.

Payment confirmation is handled through a physical action: users must swipe the temple of the glasses to finalize the transaction. Once completed, the payment result is displayed on the screen and announced via voice notification.

For security, the basic version of thes SDK supports a daily limit of ¥200. This limit can be increased for devices equipped with identity verification features, such as iris or fingerprint scanners. The glasses must remain connected to the phone's WeChat app during use.

The SDK currently supports scanning payment codes, including face-to-face, personal business, and aggregated codes from banks and service providers. It is designed for high-frequency, small-amount transactions in convenience stores and markets. The toolset is currently in Beta and will be expanded to more compatible smart glasses.
