Waymo has officially launched its paid robotaxi service in Las Vegas, marking the company's 15th operational area in the United States and its first in Nevada. The service began on September 14, following a preparatory phase that started in July 2026.

The company is deploying its sixth-generation all-electric Ojai minivans. Operations currently cover approximately 24 square miles, including the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding areas. Waymo has partnered with Moove to manage fleet logistics, including maintenance and charging.

Nevada regulators have authorized the deployment of up to 1,000 autonomous vehicles over the next year. The company plans to expand its service map to include airport access and freeway driving in the future.

The launch began with a waitlist of over 100,000 people. Waymo faces competition in the city from Amazon's Zoox, which launched its own paid robotaxi service in Las Vegas on August 10, 2026.
