Starting January 2027, Volvo Cars will become the exclusive distributor for the Lynk & Co brand in Europe. The Swedish automaker will manage all commercial and brand operations, including retail and after-sales network support, to help the brand scale its presence in the region.

Despite this operational shift, the ownership structure remains unchanged. Geely Auto will continue to lead global product development, research, design, and overall brand strategy for Lynk & Co. The partnership aims to transition the brand toward a more scalable retail model.

This move follows a period of declining sales for Lynk & Co, which reported 17,027 vehicles sold in August, a 37 percent year-on-year decrease. Total sales for the first eight months of the year reached 177,624 units, down 15 percent compared to the same period last year.

In contrast, Geely's overall export performance remains strong, with August exports reaching a record 110,094 vehicles, a 205 percent year-on-year increase. The company has raised its annual export target to 920,000 vehicles, having already achieved 75 percent of this goal.
