Volkswagen is reviewing its extensive business portfolio as part of a broader restructuring effort to enhance competitiveness. The company's supervisory board recently approved a plan to reduce its overall business and investment portfolio by approximately one-third.

As part of this process, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner confirmed that Ducati, the Italian high-performance motorcycle manufacturer based in Bologna, is among 600 businesses being evaluated out of a total of 2,000. No final decision regarding the sale of the brand has been made yet.

Industry analyst Michael Dean estimates the value of Ducati, known for its Panigale superbikes, at approximately €1.25 billion or $1.5 billion, based on valuations of similar companies in the industry.
