Volkswagen has officially unveiled the ID. Tiguan, an all-electric SUV designed to replace the ID.4 and ID.5 models in the mid-size segment. Pre-orders for the vehicle will begin on October 13 in Germany and other European markets, with a starting price of €42,695.
The vehicle features the new Pure Positive design language, moving away from rounded shapes toward a more robust SUV aesthetic. It includes traditional pull-out door handles and a redesigned interior that emphasizes physical controls, including buttons on the steering wheel and climate control panel.
The ID. Tiguan offers a maximum WLTP range of up to 600 km. It will be available with different battery capacities, including 58 kWh and 77 kWh options, with towing capacities of 1,800 kg and 2,000 kg respectively. The car is scheduled to hit the market in early 2027.
The interior is equipped with a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15-inch central touchscreen, and a 12-inch passenger display. Drivers can access retro-themed interfaces and classic color schemes, such as the blue-red palette from the fourth-generation Golf.
Standard features include a one-pedal driving mode and the Connected Travel Assist system, which supports lane changes and automatic braking at traffic lights. Optional upgrades include Harman Kardon audio, panoramic sunroofs, and front seats with massage, ventilation, and memory functions.
