Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has introduced a long-wheelbase version of the ID. Buzz Cargo. The model features an extended wheelbase of 3.25 meters, increasing the total vehicle length to 4.96 meters. This design change expands the cargo volume to 4.4 cubic meters and allows a Euro pallet to fit through the wider sliding door.
The new variant comes with an 86 kWh battery. The rear-wheel-drive model offers a range of 450 to 490 km, while the all-wheel-drive version provides 430 to 460 km. Both support 200 kW DC charging, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in 28 minutes, and 11 kW AC charging.
Performance specifications vary by drivetrain. The single-motor model delivers 210 kW of power with a payload of up to 700 kg. The all-wheel-drive variant, featuring 250 kW, has a payload of up to 606 kg. Both versions maintain a maximum towing capacity of 1,800 kg.
Pricing for the rear-wheel-drive ID. Buzz Cargo starts at €48,490, with orders opening next week. The all-wheel-drive version is available to order now, starting at €50,630. Standard equipment includes a wooden floor, a second sliding door, and the new Innovision infotainment system.
