VkusVill has updated its public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, introducing user authorization based on the OAuth 2.0 protocol. This upgrade allows AI agents to access personalized data, including order history, favorite products, and individual discount information, provided the user grants permission.

The updated search functionality now accounts for real-time stock availability based on the user's specific delivery address. This addresses a limitation of the initial version, which relied on a general catalog that did not always reflect local store or darkstore inventory.

The company originally launched the MCP server in December 2025 as an experimental tool for developers. Since then, the platform has expanded to include barcode scanning, recipe searches, and product alternatives. Between January and September 2026, the daily volume of orders linked to the MCP server increased by more than five times.

Product manager Sabina Simonova stated that the authorization system ensures users retain control over the actions delegated to AI agents. The server verifies permissions for every request, preventing agents from exceeding the access granted by the customer.
