The new OriginOS 7, unveiled at the 2026 vivo Developer Conference, features the Blue River smooth engine. This system refines core Android processes by focusing on computing, storage, and display technologies. The update introduces liquid animations across 200 scenarios and enhanced elastic effects in 130 scenarios.

The system now guarantees six years of smooth performance, with a measured fluency degradation of only 5.08% over that period. Vivo achieved this by refining high-frequency interactions and implementing stricter standards for background task management, multitasking loads, and storage fragmentation.

The Blue River engine introduces an intelligent dependency recognition algorithm, which improves page switching response speed by 19% and application launch speed by 12%. The storage management architecture now includes a memory recovery speed increase of 60% and a storage compression 2.0 feature that can free up to 25GB on 256GB devices.

The Virtual Graphics 4.0 update refines the rendering pipeline by merging multiple steps into a single process. Additionally, the recompiled framework reduces frame drops, leading to a 14% improvement in overall rendering efficiency. The system also achieves a memory expansion effect described as n+2n.
