At the 2026 vivo Developer Conference, the company officially unveiled its latest operating system, OriginOS 7. The update focuses on integrating light and shadow aesthetics throughout the system interface to improve visual clarity and user feedback.

The system icons have been redesigned with adjusted proportions and light-shadow layers that change dynamically over time. Vivo introduced a new refraction layer to the dynamic transparent materials, creating a fluid visual effect. An algorithm automatically detects contrast issues and adjusts brightness at the pixel level to maintain readability.

Users can now manually adjust interface textures, choosing between natural, realistic, or soft presets. The dynamic lighting system provides haptic-like visual feedback, such as ripple effects upon button presses, and visual indicators that pulse to show download progress.

The update also expands personalization options with new lock screen themes, including liquid, AI pet, and flash card designs. A new sticker library allows users to place custom stickers of people or characters on the lock screen, always-on display, and home screen.
